Mg Zirconia ceramics have high oxygen ion conductivity, high strength and toughness, and good thermal shock resistance. It is a promising high-temperature functional and structural ceramic material. Magnesium oxide is used as a stabilizer. The cubic phase material is packed into tiny tetragonal deposits and thus has a very high transformation toughness. The fracture toughness of magnesium oxide Zirconia is high. It has excellent mechanical properties, including high strength, fracture toughness, wear resistance, low thermal conductivity and good thermal shock resistance. Because of its resistance to wear and corrosion, it is mainly used in valves, pumps and gaskets, and is also used in chemical processing and petrochemical industries.
Mg-ZrO2 ceramic main features:
Excellent fracture toughness
Good wear resistance
Good corrosion resistance
Good thermal shock
Property:
very high heat-resistant temperature, can be used at temperatures up to 2000°C and has good thermal shock stability,and the product has relatively good mechanical properties. It has excellent chemical stability. Except for sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid, it has good stability to acid, alkali and alkali melting, glass melting and molten metal, especially it is not wet with most molten metals. For example, only this material can resist the erosion of molten titanium.
It has excellent fire resistance, the maximum use temperature in the air can reach 2200°C, and it can be stable for a long time in a hydrothermal environment, without the problems of low temperature aging. The specific heat and chemical resistance are as follows:
(1.) It has excellent thermal resistance to corrosion in NaOH solution;
(2.) It can resist the corrosion of HCl and H3PO4;
(3.) It can resist the corrosion of sodium sulfate at high temperature (1000°C);
(4.) Not resistant to corrosion by sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid;
(5.) Only this zirconia can resist the erosion of molten titanium.
